McLean Berry Farm is a family owned and operated strawberry and vegetable farm located in the heart of the Kawartha Lakes Area of southern Ontario. We have been in operation since 1991 and have expanded and improved our services constantly since that time. We now employ many local people during our busy seasons, to help at our market and with the constant process of tending for and harvesting over 100 acres of our fresh fruit and produce. We aim to provide an enjoyable 'farm experience' for the whole family. Our emphasis is on Quality Produce and Warm friendly service.

The farm at McLean's was homesteaded in the mid 1800's and has produced Maple Syrup for close to one hundred years.the farm has been producing strawberries since the mid 50's when Clarence Northey, one of the first strawberry growers in the area set out his first plants.

We now offer strawberries as pick your own, fresh at our farm market, wholesale and at the Peterborough farmers markets. In 1991 we offered our first vegetables for sale and since that time it has become an important part of our farm business.

1996 marked our latest expansion to our farm market, a big change from the first display on the picnic table. Our extensive display of our home grown produce is now complemented with items from local crafts people and farmers.

2006 Son Ben graduated with honours from high school and decided he wanted to become an important part of the farm business. He brought new vigour to the farm and we expanded our shop facilities so he could use his natural ability to repair our machinery. We have also expanded the acres of Raspberries, Strawberries and now added Blueberries to our crops grown. We have been expanding the acres on trickle irrigation and are entering our second year of Day Neutral Strawberries and Fall Raspberries. Good news for our customers we will soon have berries from early June to Early November. A New Beginning!

Maple season is a very enjoyable time of year at McLean's. It offers you the chance to view farm life in a festive atmosphere and witness nature coming alive after a long dormancy.

We extend a warm welcome to you. Visit us and sample our 'Down to Earth' difference.
